Advantages to teachers and examiners Behind every great dancer is a great teacher, therefore BTDA Teachers and Examiners are crucial to every student because its their responsibility to help them reach their full potential. Why join the BTDA teaching team? Our teachers are expected to encourage all students to achieve their goals and to share their own enthusiasm for dance. You will need to be a member of the BTDA, 18 or over and be able to pass our selection and training process to be able to demonstrate the BTDA's required levels of technical knowledge and safe working practices. Regular training and continuing professional development as teachers of dance forms an important part of this. Why become a BTDA examiner? BTDA examiners draw upon a wealth of experience and knowledge, not just in dance but also in the theatre, business and professions. All of them are qualified, registered and working as teachers of dance with the understanding necessary to assess students' achievements effectively.
